Benefits of a first job By Rachelle Herrera After graduating BS Computer science, I landed on my first job. Well I guess at the beginning it was a thrilling experience to be able to be finally hired through countless applications and unknown interviews. It's really hard to find a job even as a college graduate. Sometimes it comes to a point that you lower your standards just to get accepted. That time comes but of course it's all about your own choices. Anyway what's good about first job is that they don't expect much out of you since it is your first job out in the world. You learn stuff but you don't get scolded as much as you would since you are still learning the basics. Another good thing especially on the first week of the job is that you almost do nothing at most times. They let you read through company sites and study their applications. These are some of the things to look forward to when having your first job. The enthusiasm in learning is also there. All is well if you land on your first job and at the same time get the job you really truly want. But if not, I guess it can be considered a stepping stone of learning the basics of having a job.
